Therapist. Traveler. Karaoke Queen. Advocate for Mental Health and Real Conversations.
Growing up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, I always felt grounded by the ocean and inspired by the people around me. I’ve always been someone who is curious about others—drawn to stories, connections, and understanding what makes people who they are. It’s no surprise that this curiosity and empathy eventually led me to a career in mental health.
In high school, I took a psychology class that completely changed my perspective on what I wanted to do with my life. I originally dreamed of becoming a marine biologist, but after that class, my path shifted. While earning my Bachelor’s degree at Curry College, I explored various career options—including criminal justice and even law school—but nothing clicked quite like working with adolescents in the mental health field. After gaining firsthand experience in a residential program for teens, it became clear that my passion was in creating safe, supportive spaces where young people could feel seen and valued.
I went on to earn my Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of working in both hospital and community-based settings. My work has included roles such as Community Residence Counselor at McLean Hospital’s Adolescent ART program and Social Work Intern at Baystate Community Services. These experiences deepened my understanding of the real-life challenges people face, and strengthened my belief that mental health should be treated with the same importance as physical health.
In my work, I aim to be real, approachable, and supportive. I want my clients to feel like they can be themselves—flaws, humor, vulnerability and all. Therapy doesn’t need to be stiff or sterile. It can be warm, collaborative, and even a little fun.
When I’m not working, I’m usually planning my next trip, watching reality TV, or enjoying a self-care night. I have a pet pig named Lucy, a She Shed I adore, and an appreciation for karaoke as a form of self-expression (and yes—therapy). I believe the best conversations often happen around food, and I never turn down a Shirley Temple or raw oysters.
